The Good Shepherd with Children brings together two deeply loved biblical themes: Christ as the Shepherd who cares for His people and Christ as the One who welcomes children near. Set in a peaceful pastoral scene, Jesus is shown with children in a setting shaped by safety, guidance, tenderness, and belonging.
This piece works beautifully in nurseries, children's bedrooms, family rooms, prayer spaces, homeschool rooms, church classrooms, and homes where the Good Shepherd imagery carries special meaning. It also makes a thoughtful gift for parents, grandparents, pastors' families, teachers, and new Christian families.
Biblical Inspiration
Inspired by John 10:11 — “I am the good shepherd” — together with Mark 10:14, where Jesus welcomes children to Himself. The scene is an artistic devotional composition joining these biblical truths rather than depicting one specific recorded event.
